We are pleased to welcome you to our own blog with the hope to share our thoughts and ideas with you – developers and users around the world. Our goal is to provide information about our new product development as well as skill building in newer technologies. We also hope to get feedback that will point out where we should correct ourselves and improve as an IT partner for anyone interested. Rather than providing the standard information you can find on our web site – on some page or the other – we’ll cover the more dynamic parts of our organization here.

To start with that, we are glad to announce that our first two Windows desktop products and a Linux product are almost ready for launch.

Filexpertez for Windows: Desktop software to help manage files and folders on your local hard disks using an easy-to-use wizard like UI. This tool also includes the backup and restore module, which meets or beats all or most such products at its level.

SimplyMNG for Windows: Combination of a MNG file editor and player application, which helps you create MNG-based animations using various image files (PNG, DIB, BMP, TIFF, JPEG etc.) and other MNG files. The player application is available for free download by anyone.

Filexpertez for Linux: Linux version of filexpertez has been built from the scratch – not a “port” of its Windows cousin – to address the needs of the Linux platform. The features as well as UI are Linux-specific, including a GUI implementation of the popular “find” utility. An upcoming version of this product will support backup and restore too. We’ll follow up the Fedora Core 6 and 9 version with an Ubuntu version very soon.

While these products were being built for Windows and Linux desktops, our Web and Application team has been developing a number of new products, including a suite of SaaS offerings, .MORE (please read more about it on our website and blog). The functionalities of .MORE include Employee Management, Leave Management, Sales Tracking & Management, Time Tracking, Project Management etc. We are also going to launch another web-based hosted service, WebTM, to provide activity tracking and management solution to any organization or even an unofficial group of individuals. WebTM is a product that can be used for multiple purposes, such as Customer Support, Product Defect Management, Case Management etc.

You will find a common dissimilarity between our products and that from other providers. While most software product companies build a product based on their ideas, often quite innovative and trend-setting, our products have been conceptualized, designed, developed and deployed first for our own internal use. Only after seeing the effectiveness of a product for our internal needs, we offer it to others. If we could run our day-to-day business with these products, it’s quite likely to be of use, and hopefully effective, for your computing needs too.

More such products are in the works and will be launched later this year. Our products are neither huge nor game-changing. We strive to make small improvements in the daily life of common users of IT – to help streamline activities, save time, manage priorities, and make choices all for a better outcome.

We are also expanding our expertise into more areas, such as  

• Windows 7, and the new technologies such as enhanced multimedia through Media Foundation 
• Managed development for Enterprise System & Operation Management, Windows Presentation, Workflow, Communication etc. 
• Web 2.0 advances for both Microsoft and Open Source platforms
